Community MeetUp, time for Mapathon!

After the Community MeetUp on December 2014, we are going to hold another Community MeetUp. Previously we held a wonderful group conversation about OSM-related topics. This time we are going to act by doing Mapathon on our Community MeetUp.

So, what is a Mapathon? Well, Mapathon is an activity where OpenStreetMappers gather and collectively contribute to OpenStreetMap by charting the uncharted place. In this context, HOT Indonesia would help by generating the OSM Task Manager, so if you have an idea relating to which place should we chart/map, kindly speak out in the comment section.

In this Mapathon, we strongly recommend you to prepare and bring these three things:

1. Your laptop

Because we are going to map in OpenStreetMap, so you are going to need your laptop. It would be better if you have JOSM already installed on it.

2. Mouse (No one could stand mapping with touch pad as far as we have seen :p)

We strongly recommend you to bring a mouse device for a more comfortable mapping experience.

3. Your lunch box

So that you won’t get hungry when mapping 🙂

If you want to join this Mapathon, you can click the Mapathon poster below and RSVP “Yes” on our MeetUp page.
