Tsunami Reduction Training in Padang, West Sumatra

An OpenStreetMap Training was held on 17 to 21 September 2012 at the Hotel Mercure in Padang. The city of Padang is affected by tsunami hazards due to their location on the west coast of Sumatra. OpenStreetMap will be helpful because it will help map critical infrastructure, such as public facilities, land use, roads, etc, that supports the reduction of tsunami risks. Participants consisted of 22 representatives from BNPB, BPBD, NGOs and students of the University of Andalas.
